October Kit preview with Svetlana

Hello to all scrappy friends out there!
Today is my turn to give you some sneaks on October kit.

I enjoyed, and I am certain that you also will, all the bright colors, textures and contrasts of this kit.

Be Happy }

7 Dots papers that are included in this month's kit are perfect for those of you who don't have time or bravery to get messy and create a mixed media backgrounds for your projects. But I couldn't resist to alter the papers even more with stamps, washi tapes, gesso, textured paste, mists and paint. All that helped me to create very dynamic layout to complement an action photo of my son having fun time on the beach.

From my stash: gesso, masks, paint, glimmer mist, stamps, twine, gause, pearls, cotton thread for hand stitching.

The King's Walden's Guardian }

This photo of me was taken at a very beautiful place - King's Walden gardens. This blue gum tree was hit by lightning many years ago but remained standing. Over the years it became the symbol of this place standing still and tall as a guardian.
I added bright pink roses that I fussy cut from one of the Tilda papers. It goes so well with the garden theme.
I used dark brown liquid pearls to draw the branches of the tree on my page.

From my stash: gesso, paint, glimmer mist, stamps, pearls, liquid pearls, cotton thread for hand stitching.

A Day At Kaapsehoop }

A few month back we visited a little place called Kaapsehoop. We spend a lovely day exploring it. Once we got to this old stone building, the ruggedness of it inspired us for a few shots.
I like how the colors on the main paper I used here go along with the colors on my photo. I changed bright pink flowers by painting it with gesso and then I sprayed it with glimmer mist. In this way they complement the colors on my page.

From my stash: gesso, glimmer mist, texture paste, mask, stamps, liquid pearls, paper doilies, paper leaves, twine, and cotton thread for hand stitching.

Be Free To Be You }

I truly had great fun creating this canvas. I let it all go and let it just be. The colors and the whole style is not typical mine but that was the point of the whole project - just do it and don't look back on what you know or used to :-)

From my stash: gesso, glimmer mists, texture paste, stamps, liquid pearls, paper leaves, black pen, and bling.

Thank you for letting me share! I hope you enjoyed my projects.

Come back again because in a couple of days we will be having the full kit reveal!

October Kit Inspiration from Camilla

Hi there! What a lovely kit we have in October! And it has so many different style options.

First a layout about my boy. Even though I have used flowers the papers and embellishment makes it boyish. I just love the quote on the chipboard: "It takes courage to fly."

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on and the embellishment add-on.
From my stash: die, border punches

Then a layout about my dreaming girl. The flowers in the add-on kit are so gorgeous and easy to cluster together. Just mix your favourite colours.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on and the embellishment add-on.
From my stash: doily, border punch, dies

And now a more girly page with splashes of pink. I have used the lovely mask in the embellishment add-on kit. Some mist and some stamping add a bit to the background.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on and the embellishment add-on.
From my stash: stamp, texture paste, mist, cheese cloth

And finally, a layout using the colourful Tilda papers. To soften the papers underneath the photo I used a mask and some gesso. Those lovely flowers really match the papers brilliantly.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on and the embellishment add-on.

I hope you will be back in a few days to get more inspiration from the members of the C'est Magnifique Design Team.

The October Kit w/Erin Blegen

Good morning C'est Magnifique fans! I have a couple of layouts to share with you today using the October Kit.

Let's begin :)

"Well Hello"
This is a photo that I took last May during a spring ice storm. I loved how this beautiful Junco bird looked perched on the ice-covered branches...just beautiful. I've combined the black chalkboard chipboard embellishments with the yellows available in the kit and created this nature page with a minimalistic design and plenty of nature-inspired elements!

Layers of rumpled book pages, cardboard, fabric, lace, and flowers on top of a stamped and misted background :)

"Beach"
Keeping with a more minimalistic design but embracing the abundance of color available in the October kit, I created this layout for my daughter on one of our beach outings this past summer. I really loved using the blacks with the brights- what a nice contrast, especially against the detailed 9th Wave papers.

I've used a Prima mask and some modeling past to create the checkerboard background. I then spritzed with some mist and applied watercolors.

Thank-you for coming by the C'est Magnifique blog today. I hope you've enjoyed my reveal and that of the designers over the past week- there's more yet to come- so don't stay away too long!

Take care :)

First up is a layout made entirely with papers from 7 Dots "9 th wave". I have used the waste pieces from the Blue Fern chipboard that comes with the Add On kit. Tried to get my Chipboard pieces so that they would resemble the chalkboard frame I used for this photo.

I have used the Main Kit and Flower Add On and Embellishment Add On.
From my own stash chewron stencil from Prima, black and white gesso.

My next layout is also mostly made with the 7Dots papers but I have added a bit of a Tilda paper ( the one with dots) to it as well.

I have used the Main Kit, Flower Add On and Embellishment Add On.
From my own stash a Prima stencil, white gesso and Distress Ink.

My next two layouts are made with the Tilda papers. The first of these two is inspired by swedish country side houses way of hanging up wallpapers.

I have used the Main Kit, Flower Add On and Embellishment Add on.

October Kit Creations with Tracey

Hello! Tracey here!
Sunday we revealed the paper and add-ons from this glorious kit and today I wanted to share a few of my creations!

Here is my first page, using the fabulously artsy 9th Wave papers
designed by the fabulous Miss Finnabair:

While taking my daughter on a photo shoot in our Berkshire mountains, we came across this beautiful sunflower field as the sun was setting. I caught her in a spontaneous moment of praise and the Laura Story song, "Mighty to Save" came to me. The blues, golds and fun shimmerz paste was the perfect combination for this pic. The gold beads came from my stash.

My second page is a clean and simple using the Tilda papers and the lovely Blue Fern:

The pic is my niece  Vivien, taken at the Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Fundraiser. Being 2, she had her particular ways and insisted on wearing the same pink coat..everyday..with the hood up. Lucky for me, it frames her precious little face and matches the vibrant pink in the kit's flowers! I loved the simple elegance of the Blue Fern lattice and chose to leave it bare this time. The cheesecloth is from my stash.

My last sneak, a Shabby page, again featuring
the Tilda papers (I really love these, can you tell?)

The pic is my daughter at the top of the mountain at the observation deck-I love her profile! I wanted to show all the patterns of the Tilda's in a quilt-like pattern because they are too lovely to hide. The fussy cut pieces are also from the Tilda's. Both the lovely lace and teal ribbon are from the main kit and how perfectly does it match the kit flowers?

That's it for today-thanks so much for stopping by! Check the C'est Magnifique Blog for upcoming creations by the rest of the Design Team and the Full Reveal on September 30!

Valerie's Layouts and our Bits & Pieces Winner

Hi all.  This will be our last post featuring the September kit, and today it's my turn to show you how I used the kit with paper from ScrapBerry's and KaiserCraft.

Adored

For this layout I used a few pieces of the ScrapBerry's paper and flowers from the kit and add-on.

Using the vellum envelopes and tags, I was able to include an little note to my niece
that is hidden behind the photo.

I used the Manor House flowers and vine in the kit and flower add-on to create a sweet little pink flower cluster.   The top flower was spritzed using the mist that is in the kit.

A Blessing

There are some amazing colors that can be pulled from the ScrapBerry's paper.  This time
I focused on the purple in the paper.  It's very subtle, but by adding just a few purple embellishments, I was able to bring out the color.

Here you can see that I did some stamping with a script text stamp from my stash.  I added some white circles by dropping acrylic ink on the paper, then spreading it around with my finger while it was still wet.  I finished it up by using the mist that is in the kit.  For the Blue Fern Studios Doily Bunting chipboard, I applied a coat of gesso, some purple ink, and stamped on it using the same script stamp, and followed up by stamping on the banner, as well.

A mixture of purple and white flowers carried out the purple theme in a subtle way.

I Love You

For this layout, I used the beautiful paper from KaiserCraft.
Having these roses in the corners is a great start.

This is a portion of the Blue Fern Studios chipboard floral wreath.  I really like to cut apart larger pieces of chipboard so I can use them on several layouts.  I wanted a pretty soft color so I began by applying a coat of gesso (a primer) to the chipboard.  I then randomly scribbled on it with a green Gelato.  To spread the Gelato around, I used a dampened brush with some more gesso on it.
It gave me just the the soft color I was looking for.

A few flowers, some die cut pieces, and a little bling from the embellishment add-on
completed the layout.

Hugs

All four of my layouts this month feature photos of my precious nieces.  I'm so fortunate to have all of them in my life and absolutely love to use photos of them for my projects.

Once again I chose to add some elements to the background by using a stamp from my stash (Prima) and the mist (Lindy's Stamp Gang) that is in the kit.  I played up the circles on this paper by using the Prima circles that were in this month's embellishment add-on.

I love the 2-tone look of the Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst mist that's in this month's kit.

A few September Kits are available in the Store, as well as some of the add-on items.

September Kit Inspiration From Svetlana

Hello everyone! Svetlana is here today. It is my turn to show you how beautiful and dreamy September kit is. But i think that many of you already fell in love with it totally and completely :-))))

Love Dream Imagine

I made this layout as a gift for my very special friend. She was such a beautiful bride! For this layout I combined the papers from Kaisercraft and ScrapBerry's and you can see that they go perfectly together!

From my own stash I used ribbons, bling, dry glitter, gesso, mask, ink pad, liquid pearls, paper doilies, and die cuts.

Happiness

This combination of soft blue and pink papers from Kaisercraft in this month kit was just perfect to scrap this cute photo of my friend's adorable daughter.

From my own stash I used ribbons, bling, stamp, gesso, liquid pearls, paper doily, and glimmer mist.

Dream Happy Dreams

I just love this paper from ScrapBerry's with bubbles on it! I was so happy to find a photo that went perfectly with the theme. I outlined some of the bubbles with different color liquid pearls. I also continued with the color combo from the main paper onto the chipboard banners, wooden cages and the sticker alphas.

From my own stash I used ribbons, bling, stamp, paint, ink pads, liquid pearls, denim, die-cuts, border punch, black pen, sequins, and beads.

Just a Little Girl

ScrapBerry's paper have very special nostalgic feel to me. I liked all the old lace and floral design on it. It was perfect to scrap this old photo of me. I altered the background by applying some gesso, some tea spills, random stamping and a few dots with gesso through a mask. I also stamps little flowers and painted it with diluted with some water Lindy's Stamp Gang spray from the kit.

From my own stash I used twine, bling, gesso, mask, ink pad, liquid pearls, paper doilies, border punch, stamps, tea, and cotton thread.

Thank you for letting me share my projects with you! I hope you enjoyed it!
